Cassie Farrell has been working as a producer, director and occasionally series producer for 20 years.
Often self shooting, Cassie started at the BBC as one of the first producers to start doing their own
camerawork - she has creative visual flair and is happy using any camera.

She has worked in specialist factual, observational documentary and factual entertainment and has produced a range
of films/programmes from one offs such as a profile of the aerial photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand for BBC4/BBC2,
which she originated and wrote, to large scale historical series for BBC1. She is currently doing a 5 part series for
BBC2 with Michael Portillo using a 1913 guidebook and travelling round Europe looking at the world on the cusp of WW1.

Her background is in History of art and she speaks fluent Italian and good French. She has had a lot of filming experience
in far flung, developing world locations.
